Latest news on our range of Polymeric Termination Inks for all forms of Multilayer devices.

Our new products are fully polymeric in nature with only sufficent Precious metal in them so that thay are electroplatable. These new materials only need a low temperature curing cycle before the electroplating baths. The permanant polymeric film gives high bond strength and a degree of flexibility that normal termination inks lack. Chips

Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors.

Our range of capacitor termination materials are designed to be applied by "Palomar / ChipStar" or similar application equipment, they include:-

  • Silver loaded paste for leaded devices. Examples in our latest data
  • Silver containing paste for nickel plateable surface mounted capacitors.
  • Palladium Silver pastes, at various ratios, for increased leach resistance.
  • Silver Platinum pastes for specialist capacitors
  • Gold containing pastes for specialist capacitors.
  • Silver Palladium Platinum pastes for specialist applications.
  • Base metal systems to suit Nickel internal electrodes, Copper systems for Nickel and Copper internal electrodes, Porous electrodes to suit fugitive processes etc.

Multilayer Varistors.

Precious metal or base metal pastes can be formulated to suit the specific requirements of the varistor manufacturer. The materials are custom designed to suit the individual varistor oxide mixture the adhesion mechanism is then adjusted accordingly.

Multilayer P.T.C. Thermistors.

Multilayer N.T.C.

Termination Inks are formulated for ceramic based NTC Thermistors.

These can be compounded for dipping/spraying or screen printing applications. By selection of the adhesion agents various firing temperatures can be obtained.

Multilayer P.Z.T.

These materials are especially compounded to resist migration after poling. Systems are also available for mechanical contact use or contacting by soldering. The normal pastes are designed to fire in the region of 600°C to 900°C. A typical example is a 55Ag:1Pd paste. This can be found in our latest data

Pastes are available to fire at lower temperatures to suit the newer ceramic materials, also metallo-organic systems have been used to give thin layers on other Ferro-electric components.
