Our range of polymer based materials covers a wide area of electronic uses.
In the majority of cases we can duplicate any of the systems that we have listed in the previous parts of the brochure in polymer form.
For example, biosensor materials, polymer thick film inks and conductive coatings etc.
Listed below are a few applications where our polymer materials have been used:-
A wide range of products is available for the sensor industry, these include:- Direct electrode materials, similar to the fire on systems described on the "Sensor" page; Silver and other precious metal inks or precious metal oxide inks are all available. We have also in our development section some new Gold and Platinum containing polymer based materials.
Go to our new page specifically for biosensors.
Suitable for various substrates' e.g.: -
Kapton, ABS, FR4, polyester, polycarbonate, glass, and ceramics.
Typical examples are:
Gwent Electronic Materials are developing a new range of Low Fire Materials. Using new advanced technology we have managed to reduce the firing temperature of metallic based pastes from a normal of 400 to 450°C to the range of 150 to 350°C. This new revolutionary type of system means that it is now additionally possible to fire onto polymeric rather than ceramic materials. These materials give the conductivity of fired films on polymeric substrates.
All forms of conductive adhesives. These are used in a wide variety of applications some examples of the types of adhesive that have been formulated are: -
For application by dipping, screen-printing or spraying. These can be used for both electrical and magnetic shielding.
For a wide variety of applications complimentary to conductive versions as described above, including circuitry, sensors, biosensors etc.
Electro Luminecent Systems
Ink Jettable Systems
GEM offers a wide range of products too numerous to list. Please contact us with your application needs.
